The Overview
When you think of Sequim, first thoughts are usually related to the climate. Known as the Banana Belt, Sequim has yearly rain totals closer to L.A. than Seattle which is just 2 hours away by ferry or 2 1/2 hours by driving around through Tacoma. Many also think of Sequim as a growing retirement community as it was voted as best place to retire by both Huffington Post and Fox News subscribership polls in 2015. People of all ages are simply drawn to the quality of life. Population is around 7,500 in the city limits but are as many as 50,000 people in the surrounding area.
Willow Creek Manor is also the only new major subdivision in Sequim from which you can walk just a few short blocks to Carrie Blake park and enjoy its beautiful gardens, summer concert series in the park on Tuesday nights or any of its other attractions such as soccer fields, dog park, ponds and playgrounds.
